1. Dolls Clothes Knitting Patterns by Knitting Little Design

Here’s a pattern for a Scandinavian-style pullover sweater and ear-flap hat to fit an 18 inch doll similar to American Girl dolls.

The sweater has a knit-in placket opening with buttonholes at the back of the neck. Body and sleeves are knit from the bottom up and in the round separately to underarm then joined for the yoke.

A placket opening using intarsia technique is created at the back, beginning at the start of the yoke and the stranded fair isle yoke is worked flat back and forth with both knit and purl rows. The cuffs and hem of the sweater are knit in 2-color corrugated rib.

5. Easy Dolls Clothes Knitting Pattern by Let’s Knit

Knit a colourful outfit for the most stylish doll in town! There’s a dress, jacket and matching socks, we love the bright pink and yellow combo!

You’ll need a few small stitch holders for the jacket and dress, but if you don’t have any, just cut a length of scrap yarn and thread it through the stitches to be held, then knot the yarn to make a loop and secure your stitches until you need them.

9. Baby Doll Heart Outfit Knitting Pattern by Linda Mary

Here’s a cute little outfit in two sizes to fit a 12” and 14” baby doll, which includes sweater with heart motif, leggings, hat with 2 small pompoms and socks. I like the combination of self patterning yarn or you could make the stripped leggings and hat version using up your stash.

This pattern would be great for anyone new to intarsia (block colour) knitting as it is an easy centred motif. But you could always omit the motif if you want.

10. Cabbagetown Jacket Knitting Pattern by Jay Bird Finnigan

Cabbagetown Jacket is knit seamlessly, from the top down, in sport weight yarn. No sewing up is required! Knit a classic jacket in a solid or heathered color or use a self-patterning yarn for a different, fun look.

The jacket buttons up the front with working buttons and buttonholes. The collar and body of the jacket are knit back and forth, and the sleeves are knit in the round.

The jacket will fit 18”-19” soft body play dolls. The jackets in the pattern are shown on American Girl and Maplelea dolls. Because the jacket is knit from the top down, it is easy to change the body and sleeve length to fit your particular doll.
